Transient motion of an industrial mixer with elastically suspended work head

This paper investigates the transient behavior of a novel design an industrial mixer incorporating additional work head movement. In contrast to conventional models, this consists elastic torsion bar with its longitudinal axis oriented orthogonally main drive shaft axis. Using hang workhead adds degree freedom, greatly improving mixing fluids or powders. The motion electro-mechanical device was simulated using system nonlinear differential equations that consider dynamic characteristics driving electric motor, as derived from theorem for rate change angular momentum. A numerical analysis carried out study processes in under different working conditions. Finally, constrained multiobjective optimization performed identify optimal variable values minimize force and power mixer.
